🧭 Day 1: Arrival in Manali & Acclimatization

  • Evening:

🏞 Day 3: Kaza – Key Monastery & Villages Circuit

    • Visit Key Monastery – Spiti’s most iconic Tibetan Buddhist monastery

  • Afternoon:

    • Visit Chicham Bridge – Asia’s highest suspension bridge

    • Return to Kaza

    • Optional: Cultural dinner with a local family


🛤 Day 6: Kaza to Kalpa / Nako (Start Return Journey)

  • Morning:

    • Begin descent from Kaza toward Kalpa (via Tabo – oldest monastery)

    • Stop at Nako Lake and Gue Village (mummy of Lama Sangha Tenzin)

  • Evening: Overnight stay at Kalpa or Nako, depending on route and pace


🚗 Day 7: Kalpa / Nako to Shimla / Chandigarh

  • Scenic drive through: Reckong Peo, Rampur, and apple orchards

  • End Point Options:

    • Shimla (ideal for those continuing to explore)

    • Chandigarh (for return flights/trains)

  • How to Reach:

    • Enter via Manali (quicker but tougher route) or Shimla–Kinnaur (gradual ascent)

  • Permit Info: No permits needed for Indians; foreigners need Inner Line Permit (available in Kaza or Reckong Peo)

  • Altitude Advice:

    • Go slow, hydrate often

    • Avoid strenuous activity the first few days

  • Pack Essentials:

    • Thermals, down jackets, sunscreen, water bottles, first aid, offline maps, cash
